Tragedy Strikes Rally Car Race in Hungary: Four Killed, Eight Injured
At least four people have been killed and eight others injured in a horrific crash at a rally car race in Hungary. The incident occurred during a race between the towns of Labatlan and Bajot near the Danube River in northwest Hungary.
Two individuals, including a child, sustained serious injuries, while six others were taken to the hospital with less severe injuries. Videos circulating on social media showed one of the cars losing control and sliding into spectators, leading to the tragic outcome.
The rally was immediately stopped following the crash, and an investigation into the incident is currently underway. The Arrabona Rally Club in Hungary confirmed that paramedics were on the scene providing assistance to the injured.
Sadly, this is not the first time such a horrific incident has taken place at a rally car race in Hungary. Similar accidents occurred in 2013, 2019, and just earlier this year in 2022.
