Despite missing key players Hunter Dickinson and Kevin McCullar due to injuries, Kansas was unable to secure a victory against Cincinnati. The team had hoped to bounce back after a tough season but fell short against Cincinnati’s strong performance.
Cincinnati’s journey to victory was not easy, as they rallied from a 16-point deficit against West Virginia in the opening round before dominating Kansas in the second round.
