Former college basketball player Brendan Paul was recently arrested on drug charges at Opa Locka Airport in Florida. The arrest was captured on bodycam footage, showing Paul being led from a US Customs and Border Protection building in handcuffs to a Miami-Dade Police squad car.
According to reports, Paul was allegedly in possession of cocaine and marijuana candy, both of which are considered felonies in Florida. Adding to the drama, music producer Rodney Jones filed a lawsuit naming Paul as Diddy’s alleged “drug mule.”
So far, Paul has remained silent on both the lawsuit and his arrest. After bonding out of jail, his current whereabouts are unknown. Paul attended Syracuse University and Fairmont State University before transitioning to a career in music production.
Notably, Paul worked with Diddy on The Love Album, which was released in September. However, Diddy himself is currently under federal investigation for sex trafficking charges. Authorities have conducted raids on his homes in Miami and Los Angeles.
In response to the raids, Diddy’s attorneys have dismissed them as part of a “witch hunt” and have pledged to address the rumors and allegations surrounding the music mogul. As the investigations continue to unfold, the music industry remains abuzz with speculation about the future of both Diddy and Brendan Paul.
