Albert Park circuit
The Albert Park circuit, as its name suggests, is located in a park. In a past life, it served as a garbage dump and military camp. In 1864 he was baptized in honor of Queen Victoria’s husband.
The Australian Grand Prix has been held there every year since 1996, after it left Adelaide, where it has traditionally been the final round of the F1 championship. So Melbourne and Australia are now synonymous with F1 and a trip to one of the sporting capitals of the world is always appreciated by F1 fans, who appreciate warm weather after a cold European winter.
Besides the racetrack, Albert Park is known for its beautiful wetlands that provide the perfect habitat for some exotic birds.
This is why birdwatching is taken very seriously, as some curious people travel from afar to observe, among others, the cockatoo, the Willy wagtail and the laughing kookaburra.
Melbourne is not only synonymous with F1, it can sometimes feel like a huge sports hub, with international tennis tournaments, cycling world championships and other sports.
St Kilda and its beach are some of the trendiest parts of town, very close to the circuit, the closest night spot to the circuit, and famous for loud bars, live music, and cake!
