Hall of Famer Peyton Manning Eyes Michigan QB J.J. McCarthy for Broncos
Broncos legend Peyton Manning is reportedly interested in Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy as a potential draft pick for the team. However, the team is also considering Oregon quarterback Bo Nix, according to reports from Albert Breer of athlonsports.com.
The Broncos recently held a Zoom meeting with Nix on March 7 and followed up with a private workout just 11 days later. With the 12th overall pick in the upcoming draft, the Broncos may have to wait for their turn to select their desired quarterback.
In addition to their interest in McCarthy and Nix, the Broncos have also added depth to their quarterback position by acquiring Zach Wilson in a trade with the Jets. Wilson joins a group that includes Jarrett Stidham and Ben DiNucci.
It remains to be seen which direction the Broncos will go in with their pick, but it is clear that they are exploring all options to solidify the quarterback position for the upcoming season. Stay tuned to ‘The Puck Drop’ for all the latest updates on the Broncos’ draft plans.
