Apple fans can expect some exciting news this month as the tech giant is set to announce new 11- and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models with OLED screens. According to analyst Ross Young, production of the 11-inch iPad Pro is falling behind its larger counterpart.
Currently, Samsung Display is producing OLED screens for the 11-inch iPad Pro, while LG Display is expected to start production soon. In addition to the 11-inch model, LG Display is also producing OLED panels for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
However, it seems that the production of the 11-inch iPad Pro is lagging behind the 12.9-inch model. This could lead to shortages of the smaller iPad Pro at launch compared to the larger model. Apple is reportedly working to resolve these shortages and increase availability once LG Display ramps up production.
The new iPad Pro lineup is expected to launch around the end of March or in April. Alongside the new iPads, a special version of iOS 17.4 with support for the new hardware will also be released.
Fans of Apple products can look forward to getting their hands on the latest iPad Pro models, but may need to act fast to secure the 11-inch model due to expected shortages. Stay tuned for more updates on the new iPad Pro launch on ‘The Puck Drop’.
